Effortless Line and Shape Art Lessons for F-10 Classrooms
CampFire is a classroom-tested collection of ready-to-teach F–10 Visual Arts and Media Arts units featuring connected Line and Shape art lessons. Each year-level unit provides 10 weeks of connected learning which can be shortened or lengthened.

Students are not expected to create a polished artwork after one demonstration. They practise, revisit and apply what they learn in different ways throughout the term, with short instruction sitting alongside longer project work so everyone can progress at their own pace.
What’s Inside Each CampFire Unit
CampFire is the first Drawing Toolkit collection: a classroom-tested range of year-level Visual Arts and Media Arts units featuring ready-to-teach Line and Shape art lessons. If you love to teach art but don’t love spending hours planning it, CampFire gives you a clear pathway that helps students observe closely, draw with growing confidence, learn from artists and create meaningful artworks.
Core Skills Lessons
Ten short, interconnected Line and Shape mini-lessons combine drawing practice, artist learning and digital techniques. Some mini-lessons include studying an artist followed by a 10–15 minute quiz, keeping each mini-lesson within approximately 20–30 minutes.
Teacher Guide and Resources
Each year-level CampFire unit includes a Teacher Guide with clear teaching guidance and Australian Curriculum v9 planning support, plus separate ready-to-teach lesson slides, a Quiz Book with answers and a Resource Pack of printable classroom tools.
Studio Work
One quick warm-up task and three connected projects: clay, painting and digital art. Each main project generally runs for approximately three hours, over three weeks. Clay comes first so drying, firing and glazing can continue while students begin the later projects.

CampFire: Line and Shape Art Lessons
Ready-to-teach Visual Arts and Media Arts units for Foundation to Year 10.
Each CampFire year-level unit provides approximately ten weeks of connected line and shape art lessons. It includes Core Skills mini-lessons, artist learning, quizzes, studio work, digital making, reflection support and a Teacher Guide created specifically for that year level.
