Hi, I’m Sylvia.
I have been a primary teacher for more than 20 years and an F–12 Visual Arts specialist for 10 years. I know what it is like to plan for many year levels, search for genuine progression and spend Sunday night preparing another week of lessons.
I also know what it is like to spend your own money on resources, hoping they will work with real students and real classroom timetables.
I created the Drawing Toolkit because I wanted a clear, practical pathway that helped students build genuine skills while still allowing teachers and students to be creative.
The Drawing Toolkit is the approach I use in my own classroom. It is structured enough to guide the learning, but flexible enough to suit different students, materials and teaching situations.

What’s inside the Drawing Toolkit?
A connected Line and Shape pathway for one year level, with the teaching resources and planning support you need for approximately one school term.
Core Skills
Each CampFire unit has ten short interconnected ‘line and shape’ mini-lessons. Tasks like sketching, digital techniques, artist learning, quizzes and reflection activities that build confidence over time.
Teacher Guide
Each CampFire Teacher Guide has clear teaching guidance, quizzes with answers, printable classroom resources, and Australian Curriculum v9 planning support, for busy teachers.
Studio Work
Inside each CampFire unit, there are four interconnected projects: claywork, painting and digital. Most projects take approximately 3 hours each and help students apply Line and Shape skills through meaningful art-making.
