How do I take a Concept Photograph?
Our theme this term is nature, so you need to have something natural in the photograph.
- Think of an Idea: Choose a simple idea or feeling you want to show in your photo, like “happiness,” “loneliness,” or “nature is strong.”
- Find Something That Shows It: For example:
- For “happiness,” you might photograph a bright flower.
- For “loneliness,” you could capture a single tree standing alone.
- For “nature is strong,” you could photograph a plant growing through a crack in the pavement.
- Take the Photo: Use your iPad to take a photo that clearly shows your idea or feeling.
Important Tip:
If you have to explain the meaning of your photo to someone, it means the photo hasn’t clearly shown your idea or message. The best concept photos speak for themselves.
Summary:
Concept Photography is about choosing an idea or feeling, finding something that shows it, and taking a photo that makes the idea easy to understand without needing lots of explanation.
