🌻 About Sylvia
Hi, I’m Sylvia Skinner — a classroom teacher, creative educator, and founder of I Love To Teach 101. After 30+ years as a teacher, principal, and now K–12 Art specialist, I know just how much teachers juggle.
This isn’t just a site full of teaching resources. It’s a mission to empower educators who love to teach through creative classroom organisation, art integration, and SEL strategies. Tools that are practical, inspiring, and shaped by real classroom experience — mine and yours.
A portion of every resource also supports under-resourced classrooms in the Solomon Islands — a place close to my heart and a big part of my story.

🌻 My Why
I’ve taught in Australia, the UK, and the remote Solomon Islands — where my husband and I helped establish a primary school. Those island years changed me. They taught me how powerful simple resources and strong organisation can be for both teachers and students.
It’s why a substantial part of every purchase from I Love To Teach 101 helps support practical classroom needs in the Solomons — from teachers housing to simple things like whiteboards, markers, and art supplies that are often hard to come by. So when you use our resources, you’re not just saving time — you’re part of something bigger.
Curious about the complete story of my journey from struggling student to international educator?

Why not change the world through education
Why not change the world with education as Nelson Mandela’s famous quote inspires. Education is the key to changing the world. Yet many do not have it.
