I am a wife, mum of 3 and Year 6 teacher in England. I am a Christian and strive to put God at the heart of all I do. I love to sing and I direct 3 groups – a women’s a cappella chorus, a children’s mixed quartet and my lovely school Glee club. I also enjoy reading and sewing – world book day costumes are like a dream come true for this mamma!
My Teaching Style
You’ve gotta make it as interesting as possible! You’ll find me standing on chairs to teach fractions, singing Disney songs with ukulele in hand as my go-to behaviour management tool, and rocking up to school 5 minutes before the kids – quality time with my family comes first and makes me healthier for it.
My Teaching Experience
I have been teaching for 16 years and love what I do ? In between my babies, I have taught as a supply teacher and gained an insight into a large variety of things that do and don’t work across the primary curriculum. I’ve now been in post at The Globe Primary Academy for 4 years and work with a fantastic team. I’m head of Computing and run all the music activities for the school as well as having responsibility for collective worship.

My Own Education History
I went to the local girl’s high school where I sang with the chamber choir and was active in the end of year shows. I was a librarian, senior prefect and was delighted to return as a student teacher some years later. My own daughter starts there this year.
